Winery Fronthof

The farmhouse stands majestically like a fortress, as it was built around 1500 by order of the church. Numerous late Gothic architectural elements bear witness to a lively history here at the farm. Each room exudes its own unique charm.
Around 40 years ago, the Fronthof began to serve its own wine and accommodate guests.
Long before that, the village's farmers' weddings were celebrated in the parlour with wine, dancing and singing.

Now, Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Kerner, Sauvignon, Zweigelt and Pinot Noir grapes grow in the vineyards, which we process into delicious wines for you.
We also have suckler cows with their calves. They are allowed to be outdoors all year round and move around naturally.

From Völs drive in the direction of Völser Aicha. Turn right on the main road to the village of Völser Aicha and follow the signs to Fronthof. Turn right 300 metres before the church and you will reach us in about 500 metres

On 05 February 2025, a winery tour with wine tasting will take place at the Fronthof winery. Registrations are accepted at the Völs Tourist Office until 10:00 am on the day of the event.

You can park your car directly at the Fronthof.

The Fronthof is considered to be the largest preserved farmhouse in South Tyrol, built from stone blocks on a steep slope.
